Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!
In the seventeenth chapter of St. Luke, it’s written “the kingdom of God is within man”, not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people, have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. Then in the name of democracy, let us use that power.
Let us all unite.
Let us fight for a new world a decent world that will give men a chance to work, that will give youth a future and old age a security. By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power. But they lie! They do not fulfill their promise. They never will!
Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people!
Now let us fight to fulfill that promise! Let us fight to free the world! To do away with national barriers! To do away with greed, with hate and intolerance!
Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and progress will lead to all men’s happiness.

course, the chairman or the President of the Commission, Mr. Delors, said at a press

Ayano's imitation(Don't eat the marshmallow!)

1)beginning of Don't eat the marshmallow!presented by Joachim de Posada

3)because this is interesting, a little funny story

4)

5)transcript:

I'm here because I have a very important message: I think we have found the most important factor for success.
And it was found close to here, Stanford.

Psychology professor took kids that were four years old and put them in a room all by themselves.
And he would tell the child, a four-year-old kid, "Johnny, I am going to leave you here with a marshmallow for 15 minutes.  If, after I come back, this marshmallow is here, you will get another one.  So you will have two."

To tell a four-year-old kid to wait 15 minutes for something that they like, is equivalent to telling us, "We'll bring you coffee in two hours."  Exact equivalent.

So what happened when the professor left the room?
As soon as the door closed... two out of three ate the marshmallow.

Five seconds, 10 seconds, 40 seconds, 50 seconds, two minutes, four minutes, eight minutes.
Some lasted 14-and-a-half minutes.
Couldn't do it. Could not wait.
What's interesting is that one out of three would look at the marshmallow and go like this ...
Would look at it. Put it back.
They would walk around.
They would play with their skirts and pants.

That child already, at four, understood the most important principle for success, which is the ability to delay gratification.

Okay, there's a few heartbreaks that chocolate can't fix. But that's what the rain boots are for, because rain will wash away everything, if you let it. I want her to look at the world through the underside of a glass-bottom boat, to look through a microscope at the galaxies that exist on the pinpoint of a human mind, because that's the way my mom taught me. That there'll be days like this. ♫ There'll be days like this, my momma said. ♫ When you open your hands to catch and wind up with only blisters and bruises; when you step out of the phone booth and try to fly and the very people you want to save are the ones standing on your cape; when your boots will fill with rain, and you'll be up to your knees in disappointment. And those are the very days you have all the more reason to say thank you. Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away.

And no matter how many land mines erupt in a minute, be sure your mind lands on the beauty of this funny place called life. And yes, on a scale from one to over-trusting, I am pretty damn naive. But I want her to know that this world is made out of sugar. It can crumble so easily, but don't be afraid to stick your tongue out and taste it. "Baby," I'll tell her, "remember, your momma is a worrier, and your poppa is a warrior, and you are the girl with small hands and big eyes who never stops asking for more." Remember that good things come in threes and so do bad things. And always apologize when you've done something wrong, but don't you ever apologize for the way your eyes refuse to stop shining. Your voice is small, but don't ever stop singing. And when they finally hand you heartache, when they slip war and hatred under your door and offer you handouts on street-corners of cynicism and defeat, you tell them that they really ought to meet your mother.

Heather:  I just want to apologize to Mike's mom and Josh's mom and my mom
and I'm sorry to everyone.  I was very naive.  (Looks away from camera
scared)  I was very naive and very stupid and I shouldn't have put other
people in danger for something that was all about me and my selfish motives.
I'm so sorry for everything that has happened because in spite of what Mike

everything.  I insisted we weren't lost.  I insisted we keep going.  I
insisted we walk south.  Everything had to be my way and this is where we've

hunted.  I love you mom and dad.  I am so sorry.  It was never my intention

streams from her nostrils) I am so scared.  What was that?  I'm scared to
close my eyes and I'm scared to open them.  I'm going to die out here.

Kaoru's Imitation of Sarah Kay, TED (2011)

Hi everyone,

1) I will imitate in English the first minute of the TED "If I should have a daughter..." by Sarah Kay. This is a short spoken word poetry made by Sarah.

2) In terms of time on the video, it is between 00:18 and 01:27.

3) I like this talk because I just found Sara's talk amazing. I actually did not spoken word poetry before I saw this but thought it was moving, motivating, and genius. Her poem made me think or feel in new ways. After watching this I learnt that it was so important to express my feeling by my own words and spoken word poetry helped me express myself in ways I couldn't before. This inspired me in so many ways. I hope this would inspire my classmates also, that's why I finally chose this.

If I should have a daughter, instead of "Mom," she's gonna call me "Point B," because that way she knows that no matter what happens, at least she can always find her way to me.
And I'm going to paint solar systems on the backs of her hands so she has to learn the entire universe before she can say, "Oh, I know that like the back of my hand."
And she's going to learn that this life will hit you hard in the face, wait for you to get back up just so it can kick you in the stomach.
But getting the wind knocked out of you is the only way to remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air.
There is hurt, here, that cannot be fixed by Band-Aids or poetry.
So the first time she realizes that Wonder Woman isn't coming, I'll make sure she knows she doesn't have to wear the cape all by herself because no matter how wide you stretch your fingers, your hands will always be too small to catch all the pain you want to heal.
Believe me, I've tried. "And, baby," I'll tell her, don't keep your nose up in the air like that. I know that trick; I've done it a million times.
You're just smelling for smoke so you can follow the trail back to a burning house, so you can find the boy who lost everything in the fire to see if you can save him.

Mark's Imitation of the ending of "活着" (1994)

Hi everyone,

1) I will imitate in Chinese the last minute of the film "To live" by Zhang Yimou. The dialogue includes three characters, the father (actor Ge You), son, and mother (actress Gong Li).

2) In terms of time on the video, it is between 2:08:57 and the end.

3) I like this film because it portrays the strong bonds between members of a family despite repeated tragedies. Another reason I like it is that it includes depictions of several periods in modern Chinese history from the feudal dynastic period to the war with Japan to the Chinese Communist party revolution, including the years of the chaotic Cultural Revolution. The little boy is very cute at the end, and the scene is symbolic of China's hope for a better future after the difficult periods it went through.
